| Teachers: | This database provides a listing of community volunteers willing to make presentations in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools. These volunteers have been recommended by educators as individuals who have special interests, knowledge, and talents. Grade level notations are not meant to suggest the appropriateness of the topic in the curriculum of these grade levels; the teachers should determine the relevance to the subject areas. Decide which presentation fits into the curriculum then telephone the volunteer to set up the time and place of the presentation. If, the presenter’s situation has changed, please inform Pam Douthit
pdouthit@wintonsalem.com of changes, deletions, etc. Prepare your students prior to the presenters visit and make sure that requested equipment and supplies are available and in working order. Be available to assist the volunteer during the presentation and follow-up with thank you notes. |
